Hey Miranda and Stephen...
Here's some random bits on more swing on the playa... (i'm bringing swing dancers with me so i thought i'd scout out whats up there...)
First off, we will be at Bob's Rainforest (stephen will know where to find us)... I bal...but only follow (sorry)...neither Allen or Sue bal but both are awesome lindy hoppers.
Swing dancers Joel and Dave and some others are camping with "Ultra Stunt Danger Academy" just up the street from y'all. at 4:30 and Esp. (Joel doesn't Bal...Dave might...but is really more into lindy).... Look for his "Lindy Bus"
There are also some swing dancer right next door to you with the Moonshine Saloon camping at Fandango.
Gròóville is hosting Swing/Salsa/Tango Mon - Wed from 8 - 11pm.... email erikaharris@gmail.com (www.burningman.com/calendar...entry.php ...Sadly, we don't arrive until late Wednesday.
I didn't see anything else specific to swing but i'll keep my eyes open.

Thanks Jenna. I talked to Dave at the LiTP anniversary on Sunday, so I'm up on the USDA thing. Hadn't heard about Gròóville though. I know there is more as well, so I'll do some poking around too.

I arranged with Spike to use the outside stage for a swing party!
I'm thinking late afternoon/early evening on Thursday.
Spikes is on the Wheel of Fortune (center camp) and 1:30
Bring CD's, bring your friends :-) -

I am so excited!!!!! Thank you guys for all the info! I think it is the coolest thing in the fucking world that I am going to lindy hop at burning man! I'm sure I'll find myself hanging around usda. Jeanie is going to camp with them and I'm excited to see how many more of them I know but didn’t know they were burners. Woo Hoo!!!!!
